Tanaiste Leo Varadkar has launched a public consultation on the Government’s plans for new laws to give employees the legal right to sick pay. There is currently no legal obligation on employers here to pay workers during periods of illness, making Ireland one of just five European Union members without such a scheme in place. Do you think that’s right?
