Government is to examine longer opening hours for pubs & nightclubs and extending the sale of alcohol to new venues.  

A report from the night-time economy taskforce, to be brought to Cabinet today, recommending major reform of the licensing laws, as well as a range of supports and initiatives for the sector.   

It is part of an effort to shake up the sector & broaden the range of night-time activities
