Andrea’s guest got married to her husband Damien shortly after he was diagnosed with bowel cancer. In May 2025, Wicklow hospice facilitated the wedding that allowed the couple to wed within the grounds.

Just over a month later, on Father’s Day, he passed away shortly after midnight, as his favorite Kodaline song played.
