Listener email: 'Hi Ciara, I wanted to wish you the best of luck in your new time slot on Newstalk. It will be strange not having you come on at pm !!
I was hoping you could bring up the subject of menopause on your lunchtime show before you go. I've been in this stage of life for 4 years now since I turned 50 and it's not getting any easier. The hot flushes during the day plus the night sweats are so draining and causing depression to set in. I'm just feeling so worn out by it all and am hoping the listeners and yourself as a medically trained professional could suggest ways to improve the situation. I remember my doctor saying this can go on for 10 years. I don't want to go on HRT as I'm wary of chemicals being put into the body. If you could raise this topic I would be grateful for any advice/help.' Ciara hears from listeners
