It’s a topic that came up here in February with our own General Election – with Irish celebs throwing their backing behind the likes of Leo Varadkar and Mary Lou McDonald. However, in the US there are calls for so-called ‘influencers’ to stop posting about the presidential election, as they do not face the same regulations as traditional media.
