A fifth of children aged between eight and ten and a quarter of 12 year old's talk to strangers online every day. That is according to a new study by CyberSafeIreland which also found that children as young as 8 are spending up to two months of the year – or four hours a day online & nearly half of 10-year-old boys are playing over 18s games which could expose them to violent or sexual content.
