A Tipperary man was yesterday jailed for 20 years for the repeated rape and sexual abuse of his younger sister and seven daughters over a 23-year period, apart from the horrific nature of the case, it raises questions around child protection in Ireland and how abuse to this extent could have been missed by many for so long.
