The Sanctuary Runners was established in Cork in February, 2018 . The group enable Irish residents to run alongside, and in solidarity with, asylum seekers and refugees in Direct Provision.

Fostering friendship, positivity and respect while bringing greater awareness to the migration system is the running clubs aim. We are joined by feature writer and broadcaster Graham Clifford who founded the group and former Direct Provision resident, Busie Mhlophe.
