Penneys reopened many of their stores across Ireland today and like that old 1980s advert, it felt like Christmas. The shopping hustle and bustle was back in the capital, as thousands of people queued up to buy new underwear and loungewear. Some even crossed county lines to get into the fast fashion flagship store on Mary Street Dublin. Henry McKean was there to soak up the social distance PPE atmosphere.
