Life can be overwhelming. We can often feel rushed, harried, or stretched from all the different things we have going on - but it can also be loud. Very loud.

Unwanted noise can be stressful, and most people these days have only a few brief moments of peace and quiet a day, if that.
So what affect does noise actually have on our physiology?

Mathias Basner - Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine joins Jonathan to discuss.
