When we consider our perception of the world around us we tend to think in largely visual terms. 

But whilst our eyes can tell us how the world around us looks, our skin informs us as to the texture, the temperature and the degree to which we can interact with that external world.

So with wearable technology becoming a reality are there other ways in which we can harness this amazing sensory device?

Jonathan was joined by Lynette Jones is Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT and author of 'Haptics' who explained how this works.
