EquiRatings is a sports data and analytics company for the equine world. The company was founded in 2015 by two school friends Diarmuid Byrne and Sam Watson and now employs nine people in Carlow. This year they will be working with 10 Olympic equestrian teams at Toyko 2021.
Sam began using algorithms and data analysis in looking at his own performance and areas to improve when he spotted a gap in the market and created a business.
