Our regular Consumer Corner champion Sinead Ryan is hosting a series of special hour-long programmes answering all your personal finance queries.

From 6-7pm each evening, Sinead takes the reins on The Hard Shoulder with a different panel of experts on a wide range of issues that impact your pocket.

First up is the cost of running a car - insurance, buying second hand, switching to electric or hybrid and much more.

Jonathan Hehir from insuremycars.ie and motoring journalist Geraldine Herbert joined Sinead in studio.
