Last weekend, Munster beat the South African club Lions at Thomond Park. However, the match was mired in controversy after one player made an allegation of spitting, an area of foul play that can have severe consequences for offenders.  

But what exactly causes players to engage in destructive behaviours such as biting, eye gouging, head butting and of course spitting. Reporter Simon Tierney has been investigating for us.
