Rents in Ireland surged by highest level on record

According to a new Daft.ie report, Rents saw the largest quarterly increase on record after they surged by 4.4 per cent between December and March as the Government’s new rent control system came into effect.  

Are the new rent controls doing more harm than good? Claire discusses this further with Rory Hearne, Social Democrats Housing Spokesperson and TD for Dublin North West, and Niall Collins, Fianna Fail TD and Minister of State at the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration.
