Small patches of donor skin are being used to test whether a donor organ is working. 

An Irish research team is investigating whether transplanting a small patch of donor skin onto a recipient’s arm could act as a visible early-warning signal of organ rejection. 

 Professor Róisín Dolan is leading the research team in St Vincents Hospital and she explained the research to Claire.
