The definition of quantum computing is that it uses the theories of quantum mechanics to solve complex problems that might stump ordinary computers. However, it requires specialist hardware.

Horizon quantum computing is an Irish company initially set up in Singapore but now it’s opening offices in Dublin and is hoping to attract more quantum computing experts.

Prof Joe Fitzsimons, CEO of Quantum computing joined Joe on the show this morning.
