The European Union is about to reportedly sign a contract for millions of doses of the Covid-19 vaccine being developed by Pfizer and BioNTech.

Their experimental vaccine was more than 90% effective.

Paul Moynagh is head of the Department of Biology and Director of the Human Health Research Institute at NUI Maynooth, and Dr Margaret Harris is spokesperson for the World Health Organisation.

They each spoke to Kieran on Monday's edition of The Hard Shoulder.
