Speaking on Newstalk Breakfast, Kieran Cuddihy outlined why he believes the "squeezed middle" does not exist.

If middle-income earners are experiencing such hardship in Ireland, which they are so happy to tell us about, why is Dublin Airport at capacity with leisure travellers?

My problem with middle-income earners as a group whinging about being squeezed and looking for hand-outs is that then the people who actually need hand-outs, don't get it. They're taking from people who need it when they don't.
