The second round of reminder letters will be sent out today ”“ to people who have not yet paid the household charge.
Around 1.6 million households are eligible for the 100 euro tax ”“ but around 600 thousand homes have yet to register to pay.
The Government has said the charge will be replaced by a property tax next year.
