Gardaí came across the body of a woman in Killarney in what they describe as “unexplained circumstances”. 

The woman is believed to have been in her 70s and the body was found at a residential property in Ardshanavooley, Killarney in Co. Kerry. 

Gardaí have not yet removed the body and preparations are being made for a technical examination of the scene.

The state pathologist has been notified.
