A woman has been seriously injured after she was hit by a motorbike while out walking in Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision on the Cromwellsfort Road in Walkinstown at around 9:45pm yesterday evening.

The woman, aged in her 20s, was taken to St James’s Hospital with serious injuries.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to Tallaght Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 9:30pm and 10pm yesterday evening and may have witnessed the collision to contact them.

They are also calling on drivers who were in the area and may have dash-cam footage to come forward.
