An investigation has been launched after a woman suffered head injuries in an incident that occured as gardaí attempted to move Irish Water protesters at the offices of Fingal County Council earlier.
It is understood the woman was part of four people who breached barriers at the complex and entered the building.
Footage published on the Facebook page of the "Dublin Says No" group appears to show gardaí attempting to pull a number of female protestors - who were staging a sit-in - out of the building.
Gardaí were in attendance at the demonstration and attempted to remove the four protesters from the building - when a pane of glass smashed and a woman suffered a cut to her face.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics.
The Anti-Austerity Alliance group of councillors in Fingal have accused the gardaí of being heavy handed - and have described the women's protest as "peaceful".
