A woman in her late 50s is being treated in hospital this evening following a car hijacking in Dublin.

She was driving into an apartment complex at Argyle House on Serpentine Avenue in Ballsbridge when she was assaulted and her car was stolen.

The car - a grey Ford Focus - was last seen heading towards the Merrion Road on the Southside of the city.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact the Gardaí.
