A woman has died following a fatal crash in Cork.

The woman in her 60's was seriously injured when the car she was a passenger in collided with another car at Tivoli at around 4pm today.

She was taken to Cork University Hospital but died a short time later.

Four other people received non life threatening injuries in the accident.

Gardai in Cork are carrying out a technical examination of the scene and are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
