A woman was superglued to her front door for more than three hours as emergency services refused to believe her story.
Fiona Crabb, 28, got a shock when she attempted to enter her Manchester home and found her hand was stuck to the door handle.
When they arrived, emergency workers used lubricants, oils and a fizzy drink to un-stick her, but eventually the handle was removed from the door and Crabb taken to hospital.
"I was really worried, as it was quite painful. Tony [her partner] was asleep so I had to wake him up and also called my friend Sorcha, who I'd been with earlier," she said to the Telegraph.
"She thought I was joking but I persuaded her to come round and help me. She phoned the ambulance who also thought it was all a joke."
Neighbours arrived to help, and 999 was called four times before an ambulance eventually turned up. The culprits remain unknown, but Crabb says she saw two teenage boys running from the block of flats shortly before she arrived at the door.
She suffered minor burns from the glue, though she is not likely to need futher medical treatment.
