A young woman has been killed in a crash in Co Donegal.

The woman (19) was a front seat passenger in a car which hit a ditch at Dreenan in Ballybofey at 4:25am this morning.

A man (19) who was driving suffered minor injuries, but no-one else was hurt.

Gardaí have closed the road to allow for a forensic investigation.
