A 78-year-old woman has died after a two car crash in Malahide in Dublin yesterday.

The woman sustained injuries when the car she was traveling in crashed with another car on the coast road at around 3 o'clock yesterday.

She was taken to Beaumont Hospital where she was pronounced dead. A post mortem will be carried out later.

A 79-year-old man was also taken to Beaumont Hospital. His condition is described as stable.

Two women aged 22 and 59 in the second vehicle were also treated at Beaumont for non serious injures.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
