A dress worn by Judy Garland in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz as the character Dorothy has sold for US$1.56m (€1.47m) in New York.
The dress was part of a sale of nearly 400 pieces of Hollywood memorabilia, sold by auction house Bonhams.
It is one of only two complete Dorothy dresses in existence - and was sold to an anonymous phone bidder.
The blue and white gingham pinafore also bears a label with "Judy Garland" written on it.
