The forecaster said Storm Atiyah will track between Iceland and Ireland on Sunday whipping up a “swathe of very strong winds across the country.”

It said the storm will bring average wind speeds of up to 80kph with gusts of up 130kph to the west.

The rest of the country will see gusts of up to 100kph.

Meanwhile, there is a possibility of coastal flooding on the west coast due to a combination of high seas and storm surges.
