Christmas is a special time of the year, a time when we come together and celebrate. And because of that it can be lonely too.

Spreading joy and feeling loved is easier for some at this time of year, and feelings of loneliness can seem particularly, though not exclusively, prevalent during the holidays.

Remember, strange though it may sound, you’re not alone in being alone. While it may not provide much comfort, remember that there are others out there who are also struggling with this feeling of loneliness.

If you feel lonely this Christmas, please talk to someone. Even if it’s only to say hello. As difficult as it might seem, please know that there are people out there who are on your side. Who want to talk to you.

If you feel alone, please try to take one small step forward. Please reach and talk to someone.

If you need to talk to someone this Christmas, there are people who want to listen and talk to you.
