This week was the week Brexit day finally happened - after years of parliamentary impasses and fraught negotiations, the UK departed the EU on Friday night.

You'd be forgiven, however, for temporarily forgetting that Brexit day was even about to happen with everything else going on this week - from the general election here in Ireland to the coronavirus epidemic continuing to dominate international news.
