There will be occasional rain in places this morning, with some mist and fog patches.

In the afternoon, the west and southwest is at risk of further bursts of rain which could be heavy.

It will be dry elsewhere apart from the odd shower, however, and some sunny spells will come through.

In many areas, it will very warm and close for the time of year with maximum temperatures of 17 to 24 degrees, highest in south Leinster.

Tonight will be muggy and close with mist, fog and drizzle. Lowest temperatures will be between 12 to 15 degrees with slack winds or calm conditions.
