TODAY
Outbreaks of rain in the southwest this morning will steadily spread northwards and eastwards to reach south Connacht and south Leinster by early afternoon.
The rain will turn heavy for a time along the south coast with the rest of the country staying predominantly dry, though increasingly cloudy.
Highest temperatures will range between 10C and 13C and winds will be moderate to fresh – occasionally strong from an easterly direction.
TONIGHT
Tonight will be generally rather cloudy for most with patchy rain, although the clearer weather will persist for much of the night in north and east Ulster.
Lowest temperatures will be between 5C and 10C, the colder conditions in the north.
Winds will be moderate to fresh from an easterly direction, decreasing moderate southeasterly later.
