It looks like we are in for a very wet evening with torrential rain forecast and the possibility of spot flooding.

A Met Éireann rain warning is in effect for much of Leinster this evening with up to 40 millimetres of rainfall expected.

The yellow alert is in place until late tonight but the poor weather should clear up before morning.
