Kieran Cuddihy was joined by former Justice Minister Nora Owen and Irish Independent columnist Ian O'Doherty for this week's Paper Review.
The Commission of Investigation into the IBRC has made the front page of several papers today, with new developments and reports on what is likely to come next.
"You could practically do a whole PhD just on Sunday's papers in regards to the IBRC story," Nora pointed out, adding that "there are definitely questions to be answered, but I wonder how far we can get in making judgements about decisions that were made in a completely different scenario and time in Ireland".
Both Nora and Ian, however, observed that they don't believe the investigation will be completed by the end of the year. Ian argued that there's likely to be a lot of people feeling a sense of 'unnatural injustice' reading the stories this morning, but further suggested "as infuriated as people will be... I do think in fairness we should remember just how close to the wall we actually were".
The ongoing FIFA controversies and allegations were also up for discussion, as well as the FAI payment revelations from earlier in the week. "Anybody who would have turned down €5m should have been sacked for dereliction of duty", Ian observed, while Nora argued "it's not the way to do football".
