Computers, as we well know, have come a long way since the whirring days of dial-up modems. So too have user interfaces, dramatically changing over the past three decades, incorporating glossy graphics and touchscreen design, all controlled by intuitive movements.
But what would some of the websites and smartphone apps we so readily use today have looked like in the day of the floppy disc?
The YouTube channel SquirrelMonkey lovingly pokes fun at that idea, with its Wonders of the World Wide Web series, creating adverts for the most popular websites today, and how they might have looked in nerdy, retro style.
