A teaser trailer has been released for Rebellion, RTE's upcoming drama set during the 1916 Rising.

Beginning in 1914, the five-part drama will tell the stories of several fictional characters as Ireland slides into one of the most turbulent periods in its history.

The series features Love/Hate’s Charlie Murphy, Sarah Greene and Brian Gleeson, and will be broadcast some time early next year.

Co-produced by Robert Redford's SundanceTV, the show will likely be broadcast to an international audience as well.
