Any stand-up comedian who's worth seeing is able to handle a heckle or two, but it's a little bit more serious when it's the NYPD shouting you down.
During a recent show at the Big Apple's Upright Citizens Brigade theatre, a number of officers entered the arena and arrested a spectator while comedian Adam Newman was live on stage. Newman just happened to be taping his set in an effort to drum up a potential slot on a talk show.
The audience seems to be lapping it up, but the cops aren't quite enjoying the show.

Speaking to Mashable, Newman said that that the NYPD officers were responding to an alleged robbery nearby. The audience member removed by police was later released.
“I didn’t handle the situation that great but I figured I would post it,” Newman said. “This isn’t a ‘comic destroys heckler’ video but rather just a ‘weird stuff that happens while I’m on stage’ video.”
Unusual hecklers and brushes with the law are becoming something of a calling card for Newman; a couple of years ago, the stand-up tried on a coat belonging to a heckler in Atlanta, only to discover a small bag of cocaine in the pocket.
