The Pentagon has released a video showing a Russian military jet colliding with a US military drone over the Black Sea.

The US Military said the videos have been edited for length but show the event in sequential order.

The video shows the Russian jet appearing to dump fuel as it passes the US drone.

The jet then begins a second approach towards the drone and again begins to release fuel as it comes closer.

The Pentagon said the plane then collides with the drone, damaging the camera feed for around 60 seconds.

When the camera fee returns it shows that propeller an one of the props has been damaged.

It comes after the Us Military said the collision between Russian Su-27 fighter jet and the MQ-9 "Reaper" surveillance drone caused the drone to crash into the sea.

It said it had no choice but to crash the drone due to the damage caused in the collision.
