Ahead of the marriage referendum on May 22nd, a Louth couple has recorded a video message to encourage people to vote in favour of the ‘Yes’ campaign.
Married for 50 years, Brighid and Paddy explained how they would like all couples, gay or straight to be able to avail of the same “protection and companionship” that they have experienced.
In the video posted by VoteWithUs.org, Paddy draw comparisons between the struggle for civil rights in Northern Ireland in the 1960s to what they currently believe is a civil rights movement in the South.
