Kanye has had a pretty successful music career without the help of a popular TV show, but nonetheless he appeared on American Idol this weekend to see how he would get on.
More of a publicity stunt than an actual attempt to win the recording contract that the contestants are competing for, Kanye still gave the judges a rendition of his hit "Gold Digger", which of course includes a line about J-Lo, which she was a fan of.

Things obviously went well for Kanye as he came out of the judges' room celebrating with host Ryan Seacrest and his wife Kim Kardashian.

West has had a busy weekend of course, after he performed at a fundraiser where President Obama gave him a few tips for his run at the White House in 2020.
