In this day and age, we share almost everything that there is to know about us on social media, but people are still very concerned with their privacy.
That's why, every now and then, a spate of status updates on Facebook or Twitter appears that makes people believe that if they share it, then the rights to all their images and highly important status updates about the Great British Bake Off return to them, instead of resting with the social media giant.
Of course, that is all complete nonsense and it is the modern day equivalent of a chain letter that threatens that you'll be struck down by a troupe of flying monkeys if you don't send the important piece of parchment on to 12 friends.
In his usual style, John Oliver points all that out, but also presents a perfect solution to all those out there who are worried about their privacy on social media...all they have to do is share this video.
