The British retailer John Lewis has released its highly anticipated Christmas ad.
Over the last several years, the retailer has become well-known for its often emotional and high concept festive advertisements.
This year's offering focuses on 7-year-old Joe, who is kept awake by a snoring monster called Moz who sleeps under his bed.
The ad is directed by the award-winning French director Michel Gondry, best known for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and music videos for bands such as The White Stripes and Bjork.
The soundtrack is a cover version of The Beatles' Golden Slumbers sung by British band Elbow.
