Star Wars fans got an extra peek at some footage from The Force Awakens on Thursday as the official Instagram account shared some new scenes from the upcoming film.
There have already been two trailers for The Force Awakens, which have been fairly well received, but this move to mark the widescreen images and videos that can now be shared on Instagram were a somewhat unexpected treat.
The footage also shows Finn, the character played by John Boyega and seen in stormtrooper gear in the first trailer, yielding a lightsaber and preparing to face off against Kylo Ren in a snowy woods.

The movie doesn't open until December 18th, but you can expect the hype and buildup to continue apace before then.
