WATCH: International street art festival set to transform Waterford City

Waterford city is being transformed into an open-air gallery over the coming days as over 40 artists add a further splash of colour to the city’s streets.

The Waterford Walls Festival is returning for its third year from today right up until Sunday.

The volunteer-led event is free for all and offers walking tours taking in over 40 of the murals that already in place - along with workshops for young people, ‘art jams,’ family entertainment and more.

Meanwhile. renowned street artists including James Erly, Arcy, Joe Caslin and DMC will be at work on cherry pickers and ladders throughout the city.

This year the festival will also extend to the newly-opened Deise Greenway with cyclists and walkers invited to enjoy some exciting artwork along the 46km off-road track from Waterford to Dungarvan. 

One of the world’s best known street artists, Australian Fintan Magee will also be in town.
