We always wondered how it would be possible in reality because let's face it, the Death Star was a thing of wonder but now NASA has answered our main question, how would you build one of them?

According to Brian Muirhead, chief engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the best way to build one is from an already-existed asteroid.

Wired tells us that Muirhead knows exactly what he's talking about too, he's working on NASA’s Asteroid Redirect Mission.
