Even though Marvel are about to release Captain America: Civil War on cinema-going audiences, it's not stopping them from focusing on the future.
Today they released the first trailer for their next outing in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), with the arrival of a new superhero Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
Strange is a life-saving surgeon who finds himself unable to perform after a near-fatal car-accident. However, he crosses paths with The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton), who opens his eyes to inter-dimensional existence, allowing him to widen his life-saving abilities.
This also opens up the introduction to some nasty folk who use these powers for evil, such as Mads Mikklesen's currently unnamed villain. Rachel McAdams and Chiwetel Ejifor also pop up for blink-and-you'll-miss-them appearances in the trailer.
Directed by Scott Derrickson (Sinister, The Exorcism Of Emily Rose) and from the writer of Prometheus, this fantasy-heavy Marvel outing will appear in Irish cinemas from October 28th.
