Disney has been working away on live action remakes of some of its classic animations over the last few years. There has been Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent (based on Sleeping Beauty) and the recently released Cinderella. It's fair to say a few more beloved films - many based on classic books, of course - will receive similar treatment in the coming years.

Most of these remakes have adhered fairly closely to the original form, but what if there was a very different take on some old school Disney? On last night's Saturday Night Live, host Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson starred in a satirical trailer for a potential remake of classic tearjerker Bambi, with a Fast & Furious twist. Johnson features as a cigar-smoking alternate universe spin on the titular deer.

Obviously ridiculous, the trailer does at least observe that Bambi's tragic backstory is not all that far removed from the motivations of many action heroes. Naturally, the trailer adds one liners, bad language and dramatic shootouts to liven up proceedings.
