It's been a long wait for Dr. Dre fans, but the rapper turned headphones mogul finally announced that he's got a new album on the way, and it will be out soon.
Speaking on his show on Beats 1 Radio called 'The Pharmacy', he provided some detail on what inspired him to do the new album, and that the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton played a major role in that.

The album will be his first since he released 2001 back in 1999, and while he did have plans to release an ab=lbum under the title Detox before this, that appears to have been scrapped, with the man himself saying it just wasn't up to scratch.
As you might expect, the new album entitled Compton: A Soundtrack by Dr. Dre will feature a number of guest stars and some of the biggest rappers around including Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube.

He has already announced that the album will be exclusively available on iTunes and Apple's new streaming platform. It's currently available for pre-order, and will be released on August 7th.
